EDP, committed to its employees, customers and the population, keep following the evolution regarding the new Coronavirus scenario and is adopting a set of preventive and contingency measures at the global level.
The implementation of these measures is in line with the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Ministry of Health and Officials Health Entities in the different countries where the Group operates.
EDP Brasil created a Crisis Management Committee with professionals from different areas who, since February, even before the confirmation of the first case of COVID-19 in the country, implemented important actions for the safety of everyone, including:
- Administrative offices are working from home;
- Electricians working in the field have been decentralized at various operational bases throughout EDP's concession area in São Paulo and Espírito Santo and carry out different timetables, in addition to meetings and guidance by remote channels;
- The anticipation of vaccination against H1N1 flu for employees;
- Communication on the topic with employees was intensified, through newsletters, publications on the intranet and in the internal digital murals;
- All international trips have been canceled and national trips reduced to the minimum necessary.
The main objective of all measures is to ensure the safety of employees and the entire population and to guarantee the quality and continuity of energy supply, which is essential in this time of crisis.
