10 years ago, the EDP Institute (IEDP), the company's social arm, has benefited 3 million from more than 300 income-generating projects, improved educational quality, and support for sports and health.

Generation
There are 06 units of hydroelectric generation and one thermoelectric unit. EDP's installed capacity in Brazil of 2.83 gigawatts (GW) is mainly composed of clean energy sources (76%).
Transmission
In 2016, EDP incorporated into its portfolio Transmission's segment and since then has acquired five lots of lines and substations in the last two Aneel auctions. The acquired projects will be installed in Espírito Santo, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, In 2016,
Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo.
