Mogi das Cruzes, January 22nd, 2018 - The Efficiency Project Of Solidarity, of EDP S‹o Paulo, will benefit the consumers of the municipalities of Jambeiro, TremembŽ, Canas, Potim and Biritiba Mirim with the substitution of inefficient (incandescent or fluorescent) lamps for lamps of LED technology that are more efficient and safer. All in all, more than 24,000 swaps will be done at the beginning of 2018.

The traveling Led Truck, where customers who want to participate will be answered, will be in the five cities between January 26 and February 24. The action aims to encourage the correct use of electricity, benefiting residents of the concession area.

The executive manager of EDP S‹o Paulo, Luciano Cavalcante, points out that "the Solidarity Efficiency brings real savings to the customer and has a very important social role, to stimulate sustainable practice through the use of resources consciously. "

In 2017, more than 60 thousand substitutions were made in the municipalities of Caapava, Cruzeiro, Caraguatatuba, Sales—polis, Cachoeira Paulista, benefiting more than 12 thousand customers. The energy savings generated were of 2.329,27 megawatt-hours / year (MWh / year), which corresponds to the supply of approximately 1,290 households.

It is important to note that the resident must deliver up to four lamps incandescent or compact fluorescent to receive the same quantity of LED, besides being equipped with the last electricity bill and document of identity. If you are registered to receive the energy bill by e-mail or register at the exchange, you will earn one more. To integrate the program, it is necessary to have the energy bills be up to date.

The parts delivered by the customers at the time of replacement will be destined to a environmentally friendly disposal.
