EDP receives Smart Award 2018 for quality in customer service

São Paulo, June 14, 2018 - EDP, a company that acts in all segments of the electric chain in the country, won the gold medal in the category of Customer Respect for the Smart 2018 Award, for the study case "Elevation of Operational Efficiency in Customer Service". The award ceremony was held on Wednesday, 13, in São Paulo.



At the award-winning work brought together best practices for customer relationship, developed in the last 12 months, such as EDP Online, the distributor virtual channel for on-line assistance. www.edponline.com.br and an application for  smartphone, in addition to the specialized staff in the  call center and SMS. The case, which focused on simplifying, innovating and improving processes in the front line of the service, resulted in costs reduction on operational process and contributed to achieving excellence on the service that was provided to the consumer.

In its sixth edition, the Smart Customer Award is the principal event of the Country focused on customer service areas and recognizes, annually, the best practices in the relationships of the companies that operate in Utilities  and Telecommunications, in the areas of Electric Power, Sanitation, Gas, fixed and mobile telephony and Paid TV bundle.
