EDP leads the Quality Ranking in Distributors Service for the 2015 ABRADEE Award

Concessionaires of the Group present in São Paulo and Espírito Santo lead the list

EDP, a company that operates in the area of generation, marketing and electric power distribution, is highlighted in the 17th edition of Abradee"a award, promoted by the Brazilian Association of Distributors of Electric Power, for offering, in the consumers" opinion, the best possible customer service through call center service, and thus achieving the highest Service Level Index (INS) of the survey.

In 2015, the Groups that operate in the states of Espírito Santo (EDP Escelsa) and São Paulo (EDP Bandeirante) occupy the 1st and 2nd positions in the Quality in Customer Service criterion, which is composed of an evaluation of the companies" Operational Management. Last year, the business units were respectively in the 8th and 9th positions.

"The evolution in the quality of service demonstrates the continuity of our efforts to become a reference in electric power distribution and in our relationship with customers. And their perception now attests that all the work and investment carried out is reaching its goal", says Michel Itkes, EDP Distribution Vice President.

The Abradee Award evaluates concessionaires in two distinct categories - more than 500 thousand consumers, or less - and rewards them according to their performance on criteria such as Customer Assessment, Operational Management, Economic-Financial Management, Management Quality and Social Responsibility. In the overall ranking, the EDP distributors are among the top 20 in the country.

EDP is the sixth largest private group in Brazil in distributed power volume according to Abradee. The concessionaire serves, in the state of São Paulo, 28 municipalities and 1.73 million consumer units in the Alto Tietê, Litoral Norte and Vale do Paraíba. In Espírito Santo there are 70 municipalities and 1.43 million consumer units, covering approximately 90% of the state. In 2014 the units provided 26,442 GWh for Paulista (15,451 GWh) and Capixaba (10,991 GWh) states.
