Traveling exhibition 'The Energy of the Portuguese Language' arrives in Paraty

Wednesday 26, July 2017

EDP Brasil attraction will be in the city during the five days of the 15th FLIP edition

The 15th Paraty International Literary Festival (FLIP) starts tomorrow (July 26) and EDP Brasil has already parked the truck that brings the traveling exhibition titled "The Energy of the Portuguese Language". Throughout the festival, the exhibition (with a 300m2 space, including an internal area and a lounge for outdoor activities) will immerse visitors in the culture of Portuguese-speaking countries and tell them a little more about the most widely used language in the Southern Hemisphere, and one of the most spoken in the world.

Activities include a 360¼ screen with trivia about lusophone countries, a spelling game to test the knowledge of the language, an accent generator with which visitors can dub poetry stanzas with the accent of their choice (Portugal or other Brazilian states) and share it on social media, trivia about idiomatic expressions, etc.

The exhibition tour started in Ibirapuera Park, in S‹o Paulo, last Saturday (July 22). After FLIP, the truck will head to Rio de Janeiro, Esp’rito Santo and S‹o Paulo.

EDP Brasil

"The Energy of the Portuguese Language" was designed by EDP Brasil. The energy company, which has been operating in Brazil for more than 20 years, is also the Master Sponsor of the Portuguese Language Museum, an initiative of the S‹o Paulo State Government and Funda‹o Roberto Marinho. The exhibition features several activities that explore our language, as well as content - created in partnership with Funda‹o Roberto Marinho - on the reconstruction of the Museum.
