Posts on Facebook are intended to avoid accidents, including those with the electrical grid

A new fad in mobile games, PokŽmon GO, makes people go out in search of the characters through streets, squares and parks all over the country. But safety must be taken into account by its adepts.

Therefore, EDP Brasil, a company that operates in the areas of energy generation, distribution, marketing and solutions, is holding a campaign on their Facebook page, reinforcing the importance of a safe gaming with several slogans, such as "Stay tuned! PokŽmon at the substation is a trap by Rocket Team!" The initiative continues the company project related to the game, which began in July and which also aims to reach all of its employees through the internal dissemination of information.

"We always use our energy to take a better care of our customers, and so the advice is to have fun without forgetting safety, staying away from substations and the power grid. This campaign meets one of the principles of EDP Brasil: life first," says Luis Gouveia, EDP Brasil Presidency Chief of Staff.

The Company emphasizes that it is expressly prohibited to invade high voltage places, such as power substations. An accident caused by an electric discharge can cause severe burns and even death.

In case of doubt, queries or complaints, consumers should contact the Distributor at its Virtual Agency, www.edpbr.com.br, in the Customer Service Center, via the toll free 24-hour telephone numbers 0800 721 0707 (Esp’rito Santo) or 0800 0800 721 0123 (S‹o Paulo), or go to one of the customer service agencies.
