Last days to sign up for EDP Live Bands Brasil'17

Do you have or know an independent rock or pop-rock band? If so, do not miss the registration deadline for the 2nd edition of EDP Live Bands Brasil, a competition that seeks to showcase talent from all over the country. Bands can sign up for free with original and unpublished songs until March 13. The winner will perform at Nos Alive 2017, one of the major music festivals in Europe, and record an album for Sony Music.
Audio and video content with songs and video clips will be available on the website for public voting, on a platform with Facebook interface. After registering, the public and the jury will select the best bands in two rounds. The first voting round will run until March 24 and the second until April 14.
The grand finale will be held on May 6. Each of the eight finalist bands will perform two songs for a select jury. The winning band will record an album for Sony Music and perform at Nos Alive 2017, in Portugal, with such bands as The Weeknd, Foo Fighters, Depeche Mode, and Imagine Dragons.
EDP believes in cultural diversity and supports young talent in Brazil. That is why the company decided to bring the initiative - a highly successful event in Portugal, where it is now in its fourth edition - to the country. The Brazilian version of EDP Live Bands Brazil "17 is a partnership between EDP Brasil and Everything is New, Sony Music and FNAC, with the institutional support of the Luso-Brazilian Foundation.
From Brazil to European stages
In 2016, the first EDP Live Bands edition in Brazil awarded the band from Maranh‹o Soulvenir. The band consists of Marlon Silva, Adnon Soares, Domingos Thiago, Wilson Jr, and Sandoval Filho, and combines electronic rock, regional rhythms, and English lyrics. Soulvenir were chosen from among more than 1,300 bands hailing from seven Brazilian states, and are currently completing the album "Uterearth", which will be released later this year.
