Instituto EDP announces support for new social projects in São Paulo in 2018
Entity initiatives were selected by means of an evaluation and include actions in the regions where the Company operates in the State
S‹o Paulo, February XX of 2018 - In 2018, six new projects: educational, health and sport-oriented and income-generating EDP Institute, an organization that for 10 years manages the actions of the EDP Group, in S‹o Paulo. The programs will add to nine others who remain at full steam in the state.
"We want to support more and more initiatives that promote human and social development. That is why, this year, we focus on our partnership in actions and people that make society better and the opportunity for the balanced and sustainable growth of communities in which we operate, "explains Paulo Ramicelli, an advisor of the EDP Institute.

Held in Po‡, in the energy distribution area of EDP S‹o Paulo, the Manobra do Bem, idealized by the NGO Social Skate, offers a workshop that provides free skateboarding for 130 children and adolescents in social vulnerability, educational and sports inclusion.
Jokes and safety will be together again in another year of the Playing with Kites, a program that, in 2018, also arrives in Guarulhos. Developed in partnership with Evoluir, the initiative uses the popular pastime to raise children awareness of the risks and impact that kite occurrences can generate in the distribution network of energy.
In S‹o Sebasti‹o, the partnership with the Instituto Verdescola in the Socio-educational and Generating Tomorrow will promote the education of more than 700 children and adolescents, stimulating socio-environmental awareness, cultural inclusion, professional qualification and as citizens in the community.
