Four Minas Gerais bands are in the semifinals of EDP Live Bands Brasil
Competitors compete for the chance to record a CD through Sony Music Brasil and to play on one of the NOS Alive'16 European festival stages
Márcio Andreas, Romet, Goma and Obey! These are the bands representing Minas Gerais still participating in EDP Live Bands Brasil, along with another 47 bands from other Brazilian states. All have made it into the contest semifinal, held in partnership with Everything is New, Sony Music Brasil, FNAC and Banco Caixa Geral. The initiative aims to promote independent rock and pop-rock bands.
In order for the bands to continue in the competition in the finals, the bands must pass through the new voting phase that takes place from April 11 to April 30. After that, popular vote and the jury will select the eight finalists who will perform live in São Paulo on June 4, competing for the chance to record a CD and perform on one of the NOS Alive "16 stages in Portugal.
In addition to the sponsors, the initiative also has the support of the General Consulate of Portugal, Fundação Luso Brasileira, Heineken and Lounge Magazine.

April 30th: End of the 2nd round of voting
May 11st: Announcement of the 8 finalist bands
June 4th: Finals with live performances of the bands and selection of the winner
