EDP wins Transparency award for the second consecutive year

The company stands out for its commitment and relationship with stakeholders

EDP, a company engaged in electricity generation, trading and distribution, has won the Transparency Award for the third time and second consecutive year in the "Publicly-Traded Company" category (Net Revenue of up to R$5 billion). The accolade, bestowed by the National Association of Finance, Administration and Accounting Executives (ANEFAC), awards the companies with the best accounting practices and the most objective market information.

The EDP Group, like all other companies selected for the various award categories, exceeds the requirements pertaining to accounting principles and practices, management reporting quality, presentation quality, innovation in the disclosure of additional information, and unqualified auditing reports. The award will be delivered on September 24 in São Paulo.

About the Award

Created in 1996, the Transparency Award/ANEFAC-FIPECAFI-SERASA EXPERIAN Prize aims at acknowledging the organizations that have demonstrated a stronger commitment to disclosing their financial statements in a clear manner to customers, investors and society, thereby establishing a competitive advantage in the market.
