Tuesday 18, July 2017

If you haven't signed up for EDP Starter Brasil yet, there's still time. If you're interested in joining this Startup development program, you have until Sunday (23) to register at http://www.edpstarterbrasil.com.br/</a>.

A successful initiative in Europe since 2012, EDP Starter arrives in Brazil to help early-stage Startups develop innovative ideas that can be adapted to the electric power sector. The program will provide incubated teams with a benefits package and select the CEO of one of the participating teams for a trip to Silicon Valley, where he/she will have the opportunity to see inspiring places and approach visionary leaders.

Entrepreneurs who stand out during the process will also have the possibility of joining the Seed Race, an event where startups sponsored by the EDP Group will compete for a Û100,000 prize. Pilot tests may also be funded by EDP Ventures, the company venture capital fund in Portugal, with a cost of up to Û50,000.

Held by EDP Brasil, a company engaged in energy generation, transmission, trading, services and supply, the program will offer a vast array of opportunities for project development. Benefits for incubated companies include a designated area at WeWork (S‹o Paulo), one of the largest and finest coworking companies in the world, which has just arrived in Brazil with a wide network of contacts and services.

EDP Starter Brasil has partnered with Kyvo Design-Driven Innovation, a Brazilian innovation consulting firm that uses Service Design to improve people experiences, whether in service consumption or in digital systems such as websites and apps.
