EDP promotes Revoada de Pipa with students from the public school system of Suzano

An event was held in partnership with Evoluir and the municipal prefecture is part of the Playing with Kites project

Suzano, March 22, 2017 - The city of Suzano became even more colored today (23), with the flock of 500 kites customized by students through ten public education institutions in the region. The action is part of the project "Playing with Kites", which aims to disseminate concepts and raise awareness among young people about the risks of approaching the power grid. With the guidance of teachers, students experienced the customization of kits and put into practice the safety tips taught during the school year.

At the meeting provided a chat with the kite expert Marcos Silva, who talked with the participants about his work, exhibiting diverse types of kites and sharing safety guidelines. The event also honored the representatives of each school, who received the flag of "Playing with Kites".

At the kites used during the Event revealed and performed a presentation of the Small Interactive Orchestra (POIN) that was exhibited, with a spectacle that mixed musicality and theatrical aspects, with the presence of circus characters, such as the wooden leg and the juggler.

"The customization of the kites makes the child internalize the guidelines on how to play safely, becoming a spokesperson for the community and disseminating the necessary care in the harmonic with the power grid, "says Paulo Ramicelli, of the EDP Institute.

At the Playing with Kites is carried out by EDP, the Vale do Paraíba, Alto Tietê and the North Coast of São Paulo, through EDP Institute. It is promoted in partnership with Evoluir, a company that develops new and different learning processes, in addition to offer educational content and technologies that make learning more pleasurable, efficient and meaningful. The initiative also received support from the city of Suzano and the Municipal Education Secretariat were present in the Revoada.

At the program was created by Evoluir in 2015 and brings a series of educational activities ranging from theatrical plays and lectures about the kite making workshop. "Follow the project and observe the children interest in all the details about the safety issue and how they have fun riding the kite by themselves is very rewarding. It is even better to know that the action may benefit the whole community. It guarantees not only the safety of children, but also avoids further problems with the power grid, "says Fernando Monteiro, director of Evoluir.
