EDP opens registration for the ‘Jovem Aprendiz’ Program in Alto Tietê

Anyone between 18 and 23 years old interested in the energy distribution industry can register for the Program; Registration ends May 31

EDP, an energy distributor from Alto Tietê, has opened registrations for its ‘Jovem Aprendiz’ (Young Apprentice) Program. For 12 months, participants will undergo an electrician training and qualification course focusing on the energy distribution network. At the Young Industrial Apprentice project is a partnership between the Company and the National Industrial Education Service (SENAI), training youngsters as Electricians for the Electric Energy Distribution Network.



At the course includes 800 hours coursework, with 20 hours a week over twelve months. Students are hired on a CLT regime for an indeterminate duration, receiving salaries and benefits for the duration of the course. Once the course is over, participants will receive an official certificate from SENAI and remain in EDP’s talent pool, which means they will have the opportunity to participate in future selection processes for permanent positions. 



At the course will have theoretical and practical classes, covering the principles and laws that govern electrical systems. The aim is to teach participants the necessary techniques and procedures for planning, deploying, assessing and inspecting electrical grids, as well as the correct preventive measures required by relevant technical and safety standards.

At the Young Apprentice Program will be held at Senai and EDP main offices in Mogi das Cruzes starting this July. 16 positions are available. Registration requirements:



- Education: High School level;



- Participants must live in the Alto do Tietê region



- They must have been born between 27/06/1996 and 21/07/2001;



- Morning availability

EDP offers students a salary, meal voucher, transport benefit and a health plan, in addition to learning material, uniforms, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and SENAI certification.
