EDP opens public call for Energy Efficiency projects

Friday 30, October 2015

The company will grant over R$7 million to projects that contribute to reducing energy consumption and combating waste in its concession areas

Until November 30, EDP - a company engaged in electricity generation, trading and distribution - will open a public call for Energy Efficiency projects to be implemented in its concession areas in Espírito Santo and São Paulo.

The company will invest, in both states, a total of R$7.8 million to support projects that aim at reducing energy consumption in households, commercial facilities, industries, public buildings, individuals, etc. The call is also targeted at legal persons aiming to improve or replace electrical equipment and energy control systems.

Candidates should send their proposals by mail or deliver them in person at the company headquarters. The projects will be evaluated by a committee comprised of company employees who will examine, among other aspects, the cost-benefit ratio and the direct impact on energy savings, as specified by the Energy Efficiency Program Procedures (PROPEE) issued by the National Electric Power Agency (ANEEL). The winning projects will be announced on December 18.
