Group stands out for Ethics and Transparency in the 2015 edition of Exame Magazine's Sustainability Guide

EDP is featured for the third consecutive year in the EXAME Sustainability Guide - the most comprehensive sustainability survey in Brazil. The group stands out from other energy companies and excels in criteria such as Ethics and Transparency.

"We have a global commitment to the highest operational and sustainability standards. Our campaigns reflect these premises and the continuous ambition of bringing energy inclusion and the benefits of our business to the greatest number of people," says EDP CEO Miguel Setas.

The Guide highlights and acknowledges initiatives that have contributed decisively to sustainable development from the social, environmental and economic point of view. The Company challenge of implementing energy efficiency projects in remote or almost inaccessible areas, such as the environmental protection areas of Escura Island and Montão do Trigo Island; the adaptation to climate change by predicting natural phenomena with ClimaGrid; the Group Compliance policies: and the measures taken to provide high-quality services in concession areas (through the Dec Down Project) are just some of the company initiatives to reach that goal

Operating in Brazil for the past 20 years, EDP has also been listed in the EXAME Sustainability Guide in 2009, 2010, and 2011.
