According to IT Mídia study, EDP stands out for app designed to optimize activity control and communication with Operations Center
EDP - a company engaged in electricity generation, trading and distribution - has just been listed one of The 100 most Innovative Companies in using IT in 2015, according to IT Media IT Forum magazine.
The study - conducted in partnership with PwC and several market consultants - acknowledged the efficiency of the Web Performance Assurance case, based on the implementation and use of the tablet application, which assists technicians and electricians in field activities. As a whole, the solutions" features offer several advantages in activities involving network maintenance, emergencies, and consumer units.
"Using mobile devices integrated with corporate solutions has contributed to optimizing processes in the activities carried out by field teams. Communication is efficient and the procedures are sustainable, as the solution offers real-time information and the use of paper has been eliminated, "says Vanderlei Ferreira, Director of Information Technology at EDP.
The award is perceived by the market as a benchmark in the use of technology and corporate innovation, and EDP, listed in the 17th position, stands out in the Utilities industry.
