EDP is the company with the best governance practices in the Latin American electric power sector

For its outstanding compliance performance and institutional practices, EDP Brasil, a company that operates in all segments of the electric value chain (energy supply, trading, generation and transmission) has won the award for best company in the Latin American Utilities sector, bestowed by Ethical Boardroom magazine. The International Corporate Governance Award recognized the company for its sustainable business model and accountability to all stakeholders.

This is the second time EDP Brasil has been recognized by the international press this year. At the beginning of September, Institutional Investor magazine, which lists the best Investor Relations performances in the world, once again selected the President of the Company, Mr. Miguel Setas, as one of the top three CEOs in the Latin American electricity sector. According to the publication, the company also has the second best investor relations program and the third best website.
