EDP Brasil receives Honorable Mention in Best Abrasca Award Yearly

The Brazilian Association of Publicly-Held Companies (Abrasca) highlighted EDP Brasil in an award that recognizes the companies that best publicize their annual results. The clarity and information approach published by EDP guaranteed the Honorable Mention in the analysis of the Economic and Financial Committee of the 19th edition of the award, Thursday (23), in S‹o Paulo.

The award assessed the content and visual presentation of annual reports announced in 2017, related to the activities carried out in 2016. About 78 companies were registered, including publicly-held companies, and non-governmental organizations.

EDP, a company that operates throughout the electrical sector chain, was present for the third consecutive time in the Abrasca Prize. By 2016, the commitment of the Company towards transparency in the rendering of accounts to the Group Honorable Mention in the category Strategy and Investments and in 2015 the Corporate Governance model was also recognized.

Established in 1999, the Abrasca Award has the objective of encouraging the improvement of corporate reporting, contributing to improve the quality and transparency of the information presented to the market, and, consequently, to the management processes.
