EDP Brasil Wins the ALAS20 Grand Prize Company 2016 Award
The Group is recognized for its leadership, solidity and excellence in investor relations, sustainable development and corporate governance
In further confirmation of their socio-environmental and governance commitment, EDP Brasil has just received the highest recognition from Sustainability Leaders Agenda 2020 (ALAS20), a program that fosters and distinguishes companies that stand out for their excellence in the environmental, social and corporate management areas.
The company, which operates in the areas of generation, distribution, marketing and electrical energy solutions, was selected as the best in Brazil and Latin America, obtaining the highest evaluation according to the criteria determining the awards.
In addition to the top recognition in the award, EDP excelled in three categories under ALAS 20: Leading Company in Sustainability (winner), Corporate Governance (2nd place) and Investor Relations (4th place).
ALAS20
ALAS20 is a unique initiative in Latin America, with versions in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The award, which evaluates, qualifies and recognizes excellence in the dissemination of public information on good practices in sustainability, governance and investor relations is organized by GovernArt, a think tank and company focused on sustainability and responsible investment.
