EDP Brasil is present at Sustainable Brands Rio 2016

In a plenary meeting on the importance of purpose, the company presented its concepts of corporate culture

EDP Brasil, a company that operates in the areas of energy generation, distribution, commercialization and solutions, participates in Sustainable Brands Rio 2016, an event that brings together leaders of diverse corporate practices to discuss sustainability in its most varied forms within the companies.

The company, represented by Luis Gouveia, Chief of Office of the Presidency of EDP Brasil, participated in the 21/6 plenary meeting "The purpose at the center of organizations". Then, the CEO responsible for the dissemination of the new EDP Culture will talk about how sustainability permeates the various areas of the company and the importance of the purpose for redefining organizational structures and operations.

The EDP culture

In 2015, EDP started a project that reshaped the culture of the company, defining a clear purpose - our energy to better care - and further increasing the level of engagement between contributors.

The initiative encompassed more than 1,600 employees and established more than a dozen principles to be followed throughout the company. As a result, Hay Group, Business Management Global Consulting, recognized EDP Brasil as a reference in engagement.
