EDP Brasil participates in the Sustainable Brands Seminar in SP
The company presents the new concepts of its corporate culture to discussions of purpose-building
EDP Brasil, a company that operates in the areas of energy generation, distribution, commercialization and solutions, will participate on August 26 at the Sustainable Brands Seminar in S‹o Paulo, an event that will bring together leaders from various corporate practices to discuss sustainability within companies in its various forms.
At the meeting, Luis Gouveia, EDP Brasil Presidency Chief of Staff, will give a presentation on "the construction of collective purpose". The executive, responsible for the dissemination of new EDP culture, will talk about how the theme permeates the various areas of the company and the importance of this for the redefinition of organizational and operational structures.
The seminar is part of the Virada Sustent‡vel 2016 program, which takes place in S‹o Paulo between the August 25 and 28. The Virada is placed as a collaborative mobilization movement for sustainable actions involving the direct participation of civil society, public agencies, cultural collectives, social movements, cultural teams, companies, schools and universities, among others, with the aim of presenting a positive and inspiring vision of sustainability.
The EDP Culture
In 2015, EDP started the project that reshaped its corporative culture, defining a clear purpose: our energy to continually care more.
With the aim of further raising the level of employee engagement, the initiative has involved more than 1,600 employees who have collaboratively established more than a dozen principles to be followed by the entire company. As a result, Hay Group, a global business management consultancy, has recognized EDP Brasil as a leader in terms of engagement.
