EDP Brasil is one of the 20 most innovative companies in the country
The Company was selected among more than 200 companies that competed for the Best Innovator Award
EDP Brasil, a company that operates in all segments of the electricity sector, was selected for the Best Innovator Award as one of the 20 most innovative companies in the country. The selection made by AT KEARNEY evaluates companies according to their product, service and business model innovation strategy.
Protagonist in innovation in the electric sector, EDP Brasil was the creator of the first projects in the Brazilian market in the area of Smart Grids and Labor Automation, in addition to having developed the first Smart Grids laboratory in Latin America and several startup development programs, such as EDP Starter and Open Innovation.
This year, EDP also stood out among the five most innovative companies in the electric sector according to the Valor Inova‹o Brasil ranking.
The Best Innovator Award is conducted by consultancy in more than 15 countries and considers five dimensions of innovation with different weights: strategy (22%), processes (24%), organization and culture (21%), structure and support (21%) and innovation results (12%). The competition for the Best Innovator Award in Brazil in 2017 is a partnership between ATKearney and Superbid, and has the support of Engineering department at Produ‹o da Escola PolitŽcnica da USP.
