EDP Brasil changes the names of its two Distributors

Now they are called EDP Espírito Santo and EDP São Paulo

The EDP distribution companies changed their names. In Espirito Santo, the company previously known as "EDP Escelsa" is now denominated EDP Esp’rito Santo Distribui‹o de Energia ElŽtrica S. A. In S‹o Paulo, the concession holder previously known as "EDP Bandeirante", is now known as EDP S‹o Paulo Distribui‹o de Energia ElŽtrica S. A.

Together, EDP Esp’rito Santo and EDPS‹o Paulo, serve more than 3,000,000 customers in 28 S‹o Paulo cities in the regions of Alto Tiet, Para’ba Valley and the Litoral Norte, and 70 municipalities in Esp’rito Santo (90% of the Capixaba state).

Both belong to EDP Brasil, a company that operates in the areas of energy generation, distribution, marketing and solutions. The new nomenclatures were approved at the general assembly last week.
