EDP awarded 'Best Companies for Shareholders - 2015' certification
EDP scored the highest corporate governance rating among all companies evaluated by Capital Aberto Magazine
Once again awarded for its credibility, trust and respect among investors, EDP has just received the "Best Companies for Shareholders - 2015" certification, bestowed by Capital Aberto Magazine in partnership with consulting firms Direzione and Stern Value Management. The certification informs the market and shareholders about the best companies for investments this year, focusing on five different criteria: liquidity, value creation, shareholder returns, corporate governance, and sustainability.
EDP was doubly awarded. The company ranked second place in the category of companies with a market cap ranging from R$5 billion to R$15 billion, and excelled in the corporate governance criterion, reaching the highest score among all competitors. This criterion assesses transparency, shareholders" rights, board of directors, and control environment.
