The German consultancy firm analyzed 230 companies and listed those with the best revenue growth and return on investment

EDP Brasil, a company engaged in electricity generation, trading and distribution, was selected by German consultancy firm Roland Berger as one of the 24 best electricity companies in the world in terms of performance. The ranking focused on the shareholder, taking into account indicators such as revenue increase, return on investment, and market cap.

The study analyzed the performance of 230 companies from 2011 to 2014. Once the appropriate filters were applied, the consulting firm came up with a list of 120 companies, of which 20% (24 companies) were highlighted as top performers. In this select group, 12 companies are Brazilian.

The performance of these top performers is twice as high as the market average for the assessed indicators, considering an even longer period - from 2003 to 2014.
