Applications for another edition of the EDP Trainee Program is now open Present in 22 countries and on four continents, EDP seeks profiles from all areas of training to write its history in its quest to become a 100% green Company by 2030. At the end of the program, selected trainees can join the Company's employees framework. Applications can be made until October 24 at edp.com.

Based on the motto “Go Ahead”, the 6th edition of the EDP Trainee Program seeks to attract and develop different profiles, assuming diversity as a source of wealth and potential for organizational innovation, where everyone has space to reinforce their skills and share experiences.

For the selection process, candidates can come from different areas of training and anywhere in the world. One of the requirements to compete for opportunities involves mastering the English language.  

After the selection process, trainees will go through the onboarding phase in February 2022, lasting one month, and two rotations through different business areas, geographies or EDP group companies, totaling six months. In September 2022, trainees will have the possibility of joining the Company's staff in Portugal or in one of the other 21 countries where EDP is present.

The EDP Group is continually looking for different profiles to join its teams and, since the beginning of the year, it has already hired around 900 people, a clear sign of commitment to the countries where it is present. EDP's global trainee program aims to challenge people to actively contribute for the development of innovative solutions that will respond to the current challenges of the energy sector and of EDP.

Focus on leading the sector's energy transition

In the first half of the year, EDP announced, on a global level, a new positioning that reflects its mission to lead the energy transition. After presenting a strategic plan anticipating the goal of being 100% green by two decades, the EDP group began a new brand narrative with the motto Changing Tomorrow Now” –  “Changing tomorrow today”, used simultaneously for the first time in more than 20 countries where it is present. The campaign aims to reinforce the Company's commitment to decarbonizing the planet, a goal that will be achieved through accelerated investment in renewable energies, smart grids and sustainable solutions for customers, and continuous support for society.

With the message “EDP is using the power of wind, sun and water to be 100% green by 2030 and support those who are changing tomorrow today”, the company responds to a planet that needs new energy. This positioning includes the unprecedented commitment to invest 24 billion euros in the energy transition over the next four years and the expansion of the social and inclusive nature of EDP, reinforcing the ESG commitments (Environmental, Social, Governance) defined by the company's management.
