EDP opens enrollment for the Internship Program with half of the places for black students and a hybrid work model

There will be 64 posts in the states of São Paulo, Espírito Santo, Rio Grande do Sul, Ceará, Minas Gerais and Maranhão. Interns will start activities in November 2021

The EDP, a company that operates in all segments of the Brazilian electricity sector, opens this Monday (02) registration for its internship program. The Company offers opportunities in several business areas and enables constant development and learning. Interested parties can apply until the 26th of August through the website.

In line with the guidelines of its Inclusion & Diversity Program, the company will allocate 50% of its vacancies to black and black students. In the 2020 edition, this goal was surpassed, with the percentage remaining at 51%, more than double the 25% registered in 2019.

All steps, including interviews and dynamics, will be carried out online in order to preserve candidates. Interns will join the company in November 2021, following the hybrid work model adopted by the Company, with visits to the office two to three times a week, alternating with the home office regime.

Those selected will occupy 40 places in the state of São Paulo (18 in the capital, 19 in São José dos Campos, an individual place in Taubaté, Guaratinguetá and Caraguatatuba); 17 in Espírito Santo (nine in Vitória, five in Carapina, two in Cariacica and one in João Neiva); four vacancies in Ceará (in São Gonçalo do Amarante); one in Rio Grande do Sul (in Porto Alegre); one in Minas Gerais (in Passos); and one in Maranhão (in São Luís). They will be able to work in areas such as purchasing, infrastructure, auditing, financial management and energy contracting. EDP's internship program lasts at least one year, and may be renewed for the same period.

The remuneration package includes a market-compatible allowance, meal vouchers, transport vouchers, flexible working hours, life insurance and medical assistance. The selection process will take place in five stages: application, online test, video interview, evaluation and interview.

Position profile

In São Paulo (SP), there will be 18 vacancies in the following areas: Energy Risk, Financial Management, Planning and Control, Purchasing, EDP Institute, Digital Transformation, Occupational Safety Excellence, Energy Contracting, Information Security Risk Management, Generation Environment, Business Development, Risk and Crisis Management , Generation Regulation, Financial Management, Internal Audit, Corporate Infrastructure and Logistics.

In São José dos Campos (SP), there are 19 opportunities in AT Projects and Construction, Control and Measurement Systems, Distribution Services Technician, Irregular Consumption, Occupational Safety Technician, Maintenance Planning Technician, Technician in Center of Generation Operations, Service Backoffice, Performance and Efficiency, Collection and Default, Integrated Operation Center, Technician in Integrated MT/BT Project Center, R&D and Reading and Delivery Center.

In Taubaté (SP), candidates compete for a position as a Occupational Safety Technician. In Caraguatatuba (SP), there is availability for a MT/BT Construction Technician. Guaratinguetá (SP) has a vacancy for Distribution Services Technician.

In Espírito Santo, Vitória, the company has nine internship positions in Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Consumption, Distribution Planning Technician, Large Customers, In-person Channels Technician, Commercial Development, Ombudsman, Collection and Default, Communication and Stakeholder Management.

In Carapina (ES), there are five vacancies for Control Systems, Control Systems Technician, Distribution Services Technician, and Distribution Services. In Cariacica (ES), there are two vacancies for Distribution Services. In João Neiva (ES), there is a vacancy for a Distribution Planning Technician.

In São Gonçalo do Amarante (CE) there will be four vacancies: Reliability, Operation, Maintenance Execution and Maintenance Execution Technician.

There are also opportunities for Reliability Technician and Transmission Assets, one in Minas Gerais and one in Maranhão.

Requirements to participate

  • Availability for internships from 20 to 30 hours per week (hours varies according to the area's needs);
  • Expected graduation conclusion from December/2024
  • Intermediate Office Package (Word, Excel and Power Point) - Desirable
