EDP is elected the “Company that Most Respects the Consumer” in Brazil

A study by Consumidor Moderno magazine had more than 3,000 interviews in all regions of the country; Concessionaires' performance in São Paulo and Espírito Santo was a highlight

EDP, a Portuguese multinational that operates throughout the value chain of the Brazilian electricity sector, was elected for the second year in a row as the “Company that Most Respects the Consumer”, in the Electric Energy category. The study by Consumidor Moderno Magazine counted with consumers from all regions of Brazil and awarded EDP Group distributors, which serve about 3.4 million customers in São Paulo and Espírito Santo. The awards ceremony was held today (17th), in São Paulo.

In addition, to expand and improve the Company's contact channels, EDP has invested in the modernization and technological transformation of its customer relationship channels, with the implementation of new solutions, becoming a reference in the country in strategies focused on customer service. and in the search for channels with greater convenience and agility.

The Study

Pioneering and exclusive in the Brazilian market, the study “Companies that Most Respect Consumers” reached its 17th edition in 2019 and is conducted by Consumidor Moderno magazine, from Grupo Padrão, in partnership with SKS CX. Its goal is to highlight companies with the best relationship with its customers, based on their own actual experience of customers. In addition to this assessment, the main attributes supporting the assessment were also mapped.

The selection of companies that make up the study follows four steps: - Analysis of the 1,000 largest companies in the Valor Econômico and Exame rankings, organizing them in the chosen sectors; - Analysis of the main studies and rankings, research and reports, produced by the main associations, publications, research institutes and market organizations; - History of adherence to Group studies; - Companies with prominence in the market in which they operate.
