Instituto EDP opens registrations for selection of social projects

Interested parties will have until September 30th to apply; over R$ 7 million will be allocated through incentive laws and direct funding

Projects to support Sport, Culture, Health, Education and elderly, who are interested in receiving incentives for development or expansion, will have until September 30th to apply for the Instituto EDP public notice, an organization that coordinates the social and environmental actions of the EDP Group.



At the registrations can be made through the portal http://bussolasocial.com.br/institutoedp/editais/edital2020. More than R$ 7 million will be allocated through direct funding and promoted to initiatives.



Proposals may be submitted for the concession areas of EDP distributors in São Paulo and Espírito Santo, in addition to the regions where the Company ventures are located, Tocantins, Ceará and Amapá, as well as Rio Grande do Norte and Rio Grande do Sul, States where there is the presence of EDP Renováveis. To participate in the selection, organizations must complete the registration on the portal, and the projects promoted shall attach a copy of the Federal Official Gazette with the approval of the Project in the respective incentive law, with the date for fundraising. For promoted cultural projects, only projects for Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte and Rio Grande do Sul will be accepted.



At the selection process will be carried out in four stages: compliance with the general eligibility criteria, qualitative evaluation and classification by the selection committee, technical and negotiation visits, and document analysis. The result of the public notice will be released on November 17th.

  • Cultural Projects 



Ato participate in the Cultural Projects category a prior approval of the Federal Culture Incentive Law (Law No. 8.313/91 - Article 18), duly proven by a copy of the publication of the project approval along with the Ministry of Culture in the Federal Official Gazette is required. 



Priority: Artistic and Cultural Formation. Only projects from the states of Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte and Rio Grande do Sul.




  • Sports Projects 



Participation in the Sports Projects category requires prior approval in the Federal Sports Incentive Law (Law 11.438/06), duly proven by a copy of the publication of the project approval with the Ministry of Sport in the Federal Official Gazette. 



Priority: Sports Formation. 




  • Social Projects for Children and Adolescents 



Ato participate in the Social Projects for Child and Adolescent Care category, prior approval by Federal Law No. 8.069/90 - Statute of the Child and Adolescent, duly proven as required by the responsible body (City, State or Federal), is required. 



Priority: Cultural and Sports Training.



Social Projects for the Elderly 



Ato participate in the Social Projects for Elderly Care category, prior approval by Federal Law No. 10.741/03 - Statute of the Elderly, duly proven as required by the responsible body (City, State or Federal), is required.



Priority: Health and Shelter.




  • Projects related to Health - PRONON



Participation in the Projects related to Health - PRONON category requires prior approval or proof of application in Federal Law No. 12.715/12, PRONON, duly proven according to the requirements of Ministry of Health.



Priority: Fight against Child Cancer.




  • Projects related to Health - PRONAS



Participation in the Projects related to Health - PRONAS category requires prior approval or proof of application in Federal Law No. 12.715/12, PRONAS, duly proven according to the requirements of Ministry of Health.



Priority: Health and Shelter.




  • Direct budget projects



Ato participate in the Direct budget projects category, there is no need for prior approval, however, Nonly projects from non-profit social organizations will be accepted.



Priority: Education (Formal and Digital Inclusion) and Local Development.



At the projects submitted must have a minimum duration of six months and a maximum of 12 months and shall start in the year 2020.



About IEDP



Since it was founded in 2008, the Instituto EDP has invested more than R$ 100 million in social cultural projects, which have benefited about three million people, in about 400 programs throughout the country. Only in 2018, the initiatives supported by the organization favored 80,000 residents of the communities surrounding the Company areas of operation. The Instituto EDP is responsible for structuring EDP investments and social initiatives on fronts related to the valorization of the Portuguese Language, education, local development with income generation, entrepreneurship and volunteering, by means of sports, culture and health.
