EDP launches campaign to bolster brand in Brazil
Under the slogan “Ligando você ao que importa” (Connecting you with what matters), the initiative plans to reach consumers in the São Paulo, Espírito Santo and Santa Catarina concession areas
This month, EDP, a company that operates across all segments of the country’s electricity industry, launched an institutional under the` “Connecting you with what matters” slogan. The goal of the campaign is to bolster EDP’s image as a partner and human company, which is always there, supplying electricity, during life’s most special moments.
The advertising campaign developed by brand consultancy agency Gad will air on radio and TV throughout February, and will run in newspapers and on digital platforms in the states of São Paulo, Espírito Santo and Santa Catarina, where EDP holds distribution concessions. The campaign movie was inspired by a concept created by the Havas advertising agency for EDP Portugal and will star Portuguese actor Ricardo Pereira, who worked in several Globo soap operas such as Aquele Beijo, Deus Salve o Rei and Novo Mundo.
“Our goal is to convey a strong, humane and innovative brand. We want to show people we are involved across every stage of the process, from energy generation to household consumption and we are always there during special occasions”, said Paulo Campos Costa, global communications director at EDP.
EDP intends to use this campaign to increase brand recall in its concession areas.
