The EDP Institute, through its supporting companies, privileges cultural heritage and national values, supporting and promoting quality cultural manifestations and the development of national artistic production, with emphasis on encouraging the formation of new artists.
The intervention of the EDP Group in Brazil in the cultural domain manifests itself transversally, namely in the support to the performing arts (theater, dance and others), fine arts and literature.
In addition to these areas, the EDP Institute seeks to support projects that rescue the regional artistic culture and expressions, in order to value them and guarantee them to future generations.
Museu da Pessoa Institute
For 13 years, the work of the Museu da Pessoa Institute through the Local Memory in the School project has been guided by the promotion of the School-Community dialogue. The objective is to register the memory of communities, involving the students in the collection of the stories of the residents of the municipalities through the methodology of recording the oral memory. By listening, representing, reproducing and recounting life stories, children have the opportunity to become history agents of their city or neighborhood.
Guarulhos - SP
Caravana das Artes is a traveling project developed in partnership with UNICEF, ESPN and Disney, which traverses municipalities with low human development (HDI) and Children’s Indexes (IDI), promoting artistic activities among children and young people, as well as training teachers of the public network.
IASEA - Institute for Social, Emotional and Academic Learning
The Social Theater project invests in the training of educators of complementary education projects in low-income communities and teachers of public schools, using art education and environmental education to promote actions linked to school and extracurricular activities.
Blue Marlin Institute
The Animation Project offers students of the public elementary school the use of animation cinema as an instrument for learning, for the development of creativity, for verbal and written expression and for the formation of critical sense.
