Electricity is usually produced away from the consumer centers by the generating companies. In this way, it is necessary to transport this energy for long distances through the transmission system, which basically consists of:

Transmission Line: an Electric System project consisting of towers interconnected by metallic cables, whose function is to transport the energy from generation centers (Hydroelectric, Thermal, Nuclear, Wind and/or Solar Power Plants) to the transformation and distribution centers, substations.

Substation: place of reception, transformation and availability of electric energy. From the substations, the energy produced in the power plants (hydro, thermal, nuclear and solar) is transformed into voltages compatible with the use of consumers and made available in the distribution network for consumption in homes, industries and hospitals, among others.
