EDP, electricity distributor for the Alto Tietê, Vale do Paraíba and Litoral Norte regions of São Paulo, has opened registration for the Electricians school in Caraguatatuba, which aims to qualify professionals interested in working with electrical distribution. The school, presented at the City hall’s South Zone building, hails from a partnership between EDP and the National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI) and counts on the oretical and practical classes that tackle the main laws surrounding the subject of electrical systems. The main goal is that participants learn about technical procedures necessary to plan, execute, evaluate and inspect electrical grids, as well as preemptive and corrective maintenances, all within safety norms and regulations.
With a workload of 556 hours and approximately three and a half months of duration, the program is for free and focuses on the qualification and capacitation of distribution grid electricians. The graduates will remain in EDP’s talent pool, allowing to participate in the selection process of future job openings.
The School of Electricians is open for men and women alike and will be conducted by the Educational and Cultural Foundation of Caraguatatuba (FUNDACC), which is part of city hall, between August and November. There are 16 spots available. The conditions required to participate are as follow:
- Graduation: Highscool completed;
- Minimum age of 18 years old necessary;
- Availability to study full time, from 8am to 5pm for the duration of the course;
- Having a National Driver’s Liscense is a plus;
