This Tuesday, 21, EDP Brazil, a company that operates across all areas of the country’s energy industry, held the Prêmio Estrela EDP at the Santander Theatre to acknowledge standout projects and individuals of 2018. Special guests, actors Lázaro Ramos and Odilon Wagner, attended the ceremony and presented the awards.

Company business areas submitted projects or cases in six categories based on EDP Projects with a Purpose:  Safety & Environment, People & Culture, Innovation, Continuous Development and Investment, Customers & Services and Shared Values. The projects could be supported by other areas participating in the initiatives, which were assessed by EDP Brazil management, members of the board and outside specialists.

At the Ceremony also included a performance by the EDP band, a project to bring employees together based on their personal skills and create a channel to communicate the EDP Culture. They performed songs by Luís Carlos Gouveia, director of organizational transformation, with lyrics that highlight the 12 principles underpinning the Company’s Culture, and Brazilian Popular Music classics.

Actor Lázaro Ramos, a special guest, spoke to over 500 company employees attending the event at the Santander Theatre and closed the event joining the EDP Band onstage to sing “Palco” and “Andar com fé” by composer Gilberto Gil.
