EDP is the “Company that Most Respects Consumers” in the Brazilian power sector

Survey by Consumidor Moderno magazine interviewed 2 thousand people nationwide; Company operations in Sao Paulo and Espírito Santo received special mention

EDP, a company that operates across all segments of the country’s electricity industry, was voted the “Company that Most Respects Consumers” in a survey by Consumidor Moderno magazine. Consumers from all over the country voted for the Group’s distributors, which serve around 3.4 million people in the states of São Paulo and Espírito Santo.



At the survey identifies companies with the best consumer relations, based on consumers’ own experiences. Now in its 16th year, the “Companies that Most Respects Consumers” survey is carried out by Consumidor Moderno magazine, with technical coordination from Croma Solutions, in partnership with CIP - Centro de Inteligência Padrão.



Michael Itkes, Network VP at EDP, said the company is very proud of this achievement as it reflects consumer opinions on the its operations. “We work tirelessly to ensure consumer satisfaction by providing maximum quality, efficiency and safety across all our services. This acknowledgement will encourage us to continue improving and acting transparently while maintaining our focus on the Customer: the reason we are here”.



At the survey interviewed 2 thousand people across the country in September and October 2018. Interviewees were asked whether they agreed with several questions measuring their level of satisfaction, such as whether the company: Understands my requirements as a consumer; communicates transparently  with society; provides accessible customer service; is socially responsible; fulfils its promises; supports social causes and institutions; is quick to respond ; settles my needs, inquiries and/or complaints; has a wide range of high quality products; does not pollute the environment; offers easy payment methods ; has several customer service channels; offers fair prices.



At the award ceremony took place today (12), at the Renaissance Hotel in São Paulo.
