EDP included in B3 Corporate Sustainability Index for the 13th consecutive year

EDP, a company that operates across the Brazilian electricity industry, is one of 30 companies selected for the 14th Business Sustainability Index (ISE) portfolio by B3, formerly BM&FBovespa, for the 13th consecutive year. The company’s inclusion is valid from January 7, 2019 to January 3, 2020.

Only companies with a high level of commitment to sustainable development, shared value generation, corporate governance and product origin are chosen for the portfolio, which also evaluates a businesses corporate economic,financial,social,environmental and climate change performance.



“EDP’s inclusion in the ISE Bovespa for the 13th year running is the result of our constant commitment to the best corporate governance practices and our socially and environmentally responsible business model. We seek to strike a balance with all our stakeholders. The ISE standards have helped is improve our activities in these areas over time”, said Miguel Setas, president of EDP in Brazil.

The EDP Group is also one of the companies included on the Dow Jones World Sustainability Index (DJSI World) for the 11th straight year, particularly for its performance in the social dimension category, where it obtained the best score in the industry (89 points).
