Last Sunday (02) night, we were shocked to see the tragic fire that engulfed the National Museum in Rio de Janeiro. This is an incalculable loss to the Country, as ethnographic, archeological, paleontological and historical collections were destroyed, not to mention the vast archive of scientific documentation.

At this sad time, EDP has expressed its solidarity towards those responsible for managing the national museum and has declared that, in a similar vein to what its working alongside the Portuguese Language Museum in Sao Paulo, it will assist in any way possible to find solutions to rebuild this important and historic museum.
